Disneyland gets permit to launch Marvel land after opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

As Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens and many fans from all over the world come to experience the all-new intergalactic land, the Disneyland Resort is already getting ready for their next expansion over at California Adventure Park.

The new Marvel-themed land is slated to open next year and Disneyland Resort has already had a handful of permits for its construction approved by the city of Anaheim. Some of these projects include an overhaul to the bathroom, a new retail outlet, a microbrewery, a character meet-and-greet area, plus improvements to behind-the-scenes buildings.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the construction permits assess the value of all of this action-packed work at more than $14 million. Reportedly, one of the permits, approved Wednesday, allows for a 2,071-square-foot merchandise outlet, with three attached canopies!

Disney hasn’t revealed mcuh information about the new land. However, it’s expected that more details of the land will be released at D23, scheduled for August 23 to 25 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

California Adventure Park isn’t the only Disney Park to be receiving new Marvel attraction in the future as others like Hong Kong Disneyland will be opening in 2023, Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris in 2020 and at Epcot in Walt Disney World in 2021.
