Tim Burton-Style Treat Trails, “Villainous” World of Color and More Coming To DCA’s Oogie Boogie Bash

Disney has revealed frightfully fun details for California Adventure’s all new Oogie Boogie Bash debuting this fall. When Oogie Boogie Bash debuts get ready for an exciting Disney Halloween Party you haven’t experienced yet!

The first-ever Oogie Boogie Bash will be held at Disney California Adventure (unlike the previous Mickey’s Halloween Party, which was held at Disneyland). Over the last few years, Imagineers have created an immersive atmosphere and décor at Disney California Adventure for the Halloween season and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for guests attending the all-new Oogie Boogie Bash. But one of the most amazing things about the party being held at Disney California Adventure is the spectacular nighttime entertainment you will get to experience there, including an all-new version of World of Color!

If your a fan of Disneyland like me, than you will have to admit that World of Color is one of the most amazing nighttime entertainment shows at a Disney park. When Disney revealed the new details about the Halloween version of World of Color at the all new Oogie Boogie Bash, we couldn’t wait to share it with you! This all-new show is called Villainous! and can only be seen on select nights during Oogie Boogie Bash.

Disney announced- The new “World of Color” show exclusive to Oogie Boogie Bash tells the twisted tale of a young girl (and all-new character) named Shelley Marie. In “Villainous!,” Shelley has a decision to make about her Halloween costume for this year, and finds herself wondering if she could really be as strong and unique as some of her favorite Disney villains, including The Queen, Ursula, Dr Facilier, Hades, Jafar and Maleficent. This twisted tale carries Shelley on an unforgettable journey through fountains, lights, lasers, projections and special effects. “Villainous!” shows guests that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us.

We can’t wait to see this haunting new version of one of the best nighttime entertainment offerings at Disneyland Resort, how about you? We are also excited for everything else at all new Oogie Boogie Bash, the treat trails will be done with a Tim Burton flair and there will be an epic dance party featuring the “Descendants” crew!

Here’s some more information that Disney shared about the all new Oogie Boogie Bash and what you can expect-

• Redwood Creek Challenge Trail – The fun-filled trail we know and love will be transformed into a wondrous and ethereal world of Disney villains Disney will add dreamlike lighting, T projections, sounds and special effects in order to make this a frightful but fun space. Don’t worry, though, because like every Disney Halloween event, it’s not scary but fun!
• Immersive Treat Trails – We love the incorporation of Tim Burton’s characters into the Disney parties, and when you walk through the new, wonderfully wicked treat trails throughout the park, you may encounter the Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” or even Oogie Boogie himself! Additional treat trails will feature oversized cauldrons full of treats for all guests to enjoy.
• DescenDANCE Party – If you’re a “Descendants” fan, you won’t want to miss this. In the Hollywood Land Backlot, a spell is cast, summoning the greatest dance crew from the Isle of the Lost will host a dance party set to the biggest hit songs from all three “Descendants” movies. The original “Villain Kids” might even crash the party through magic mirrors.
