Walt Disney World Annual Pass Increases as high as 25%!
Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida has significantly increased the cost of its annual park passes as high as 25%!
A general public annual Platinum Plus Pass is now $1,219, up from the previous $994 price, while the Platinum Pass is $1,119, an increase from the previous $894. Increases for Florida residents are as follows:
FL Resident Platinum Plus Annual Pass: $999.00 (from $849.00)
FL Resident Platinum Annual Pass: $899.00 (from $749.00)
FL Resident Gold Annual Pass: $699.00 (from $609.00)
FL Resident Silver Annual Pass: $519.00 (from $479.00)
FL Resident Theme Park Select Pass: $439.00 (No Increase)
FL Resident Weekday Select Annual Pass: $349.00 (from $319.00)
Epcot After 4 Annual Pass: $309.00 (from $289.00)
The move comes ahead of the Aug. 29 opening of the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Disneyland’s new Star Wars land opened May 31 at the Disney property in Anaheim, California.
Platinum, Platinum Plus and Premier annual passholders will get early access to the attraction.
Before you experience too much sticker shock, keep in mind that Disney often raises ticket prices for its various attractions. In March 2019, Disney unveiled its most expensive tickets for the holiday season. Back in October 2018, a price increase to annual passes also took place. But if you’re say, down to eat your way through Epcot or want to indulge in the new Dole Whip FOMOsa, the price of admission could be well worth it.
