Breaking- Disney Announces “Rise of the Resistance” Attraction Opening: Disney World’s Dec 5, 2019 & Disneyland’s Jan 17, 2020

Disney has announced the opening date for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attraction, “Rise of the Resistance:” Walt Disney World’s December 5, 2019 and Disneyland’s January 17, 2020.

Back when Disney first had announced the opening dates for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it was announced that the land would be opening May 31, 2019 with only one of the two main attractions, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction. At the time of the announcement, many fans assumed that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction would be opening a few months later in the fall, although an official opening date was never given.

Now we are nearing the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disney has just announced the opening dates of possibly the most state-of-the-art and technologically advanced attraction the U.S. Disney Parks have ever seen.

Disney describes the attraction- When it opens, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.

Many Star Wars fans are highly anticipating the attraction, Rise of the Resistance and if you’ve been to Disneyland, it’s missing that one piece.
