Marvel Has Confirmed Thor 4, To be Directed By Taika Waititi

It’s Official Marvel Cinematic Studios has confirmed Thor 4, Thor: Ragnarock’s director Taika Waititi will be returning as the films writer and director.

Chris Hemsworth is expected to reprise his career-defining role as the Asgardian god of thunder.

At this time, Thor 4 has no release date announced for the film yet. However, we are super excited!! How about you? What Marvel fan can’t wait to see the God of Thunder back on the big screen in his own film?

What direction Waititi will take Thor 4 is not yet known. We last saw him in the galaxy shattering mega hit “Avengers: Endgame, Considering  it ended with a tease of Thor heading out to space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, there may be some crossovers, too.

It has been reported that Waititi is pausing his work on Warner Bros.’live-action Akira adaptation to focus his attention on Thor 4. The director is credited with revitalizing the Thor franchise on Thor: Ragnarok. The changes Waititi made to Thor’s character carried over into Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and Hemsworth has credited the director for making Thor fun again.

At this time, Marvel has not revealed the next phase of the MCU. Rumors are pointing to the company releasing its lineup of films at San Diego Comic-Con and it’s also been rumored that the lineup will be revealed later at the D23 Expo in August.
