Disneyland New Ticket & Hotel Policies Ahead Of Reopening
On Wednesday, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California announced it’s phased reopening plans which will begin on July 9th with Downtown Disney, followed by Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure set to open on July 17th, Disneyland’s 65th anniversary!
On July 23, two of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, the Grand Californian and Paradise Pier, will reopen to Guests. A reopening date for Disneyland hotel has not been announced yet, it is currently undergoing construction as it is getting a new DVC tower.
Ahead of these phased reopening dates, Disneyland has updated various cancellation policies to better serve their Guests.
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Ticket Policy:
Disneyland has currently paused all new ticket and Annual Passport sales. If you already hold a valid theme park ticket, the following information will apply to you.
Expiration dates for Southern California Resident Tickets, promotional Disneyland Child Tickets, Canada Resident Tickets, and Australia/New Zealand Resident Tickets have been “extended through December 16, 2021” with certain blockout dates.
Disneyland has also announced that “There are no changes to the Military Salute Ticket offer. Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days and expire December 18, 2020.”

Disneyland Hotel Reservation and Vacation Package Updates
Disneyland posted updates to its hotel reservation and vacation package cancellation policies. For Room-Only Hotel Reservations at Disneyland Resort, Disney is “waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through July 22, 2020.”
This same extended Disney cancellation policy applies to vacation packages, which include both a hotel reservation and DLR theme park tickets.
