Disneyland Launches New Web Page With FAQ’s Regarding Reopening

The Disneyland Resort has officially launched a new web page with FAQ's regarding the phased reopening of their park. This new web page is called the "Experience Updates Page" and it is just like the Walt Disney World Resort version. The new element of their official Disneyland website shares the most up-to-date information regarding the reopening of Disneyland Resort, including dates for the phased reopening, health and safety information, annual pass and ticket information, and more. This new element to their official Disneyland website is organized and concise, they share answers to what will likely be frequently asked questions as Guests prepare to visit the Happiest Place on Earth once the theme parks reopen their gates. Here are some of the details to note if you plan on visiting Disneyland Resort during the beginning phases of the reopening: Reservations will be required to get into both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. Capacity, parking, and operating hours will be limited. New tickets sales have been paused. The reopening date for the Disneyland Hotel has not yet been announced. Josh D'Amaro who was recently named Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products issued a thoughtful message on the reopening of Disney Parks Worldwide, reassuring guests that the MAGIC is indeed returning. You can read his full letter below: With the announcement of the proposed reopening dates for the Disneyland Resort, we are one more exciting step closer to reopening all of our Disney parks and experiences around the world. Throughout the past few weeks, we have reopened Shanghai Disneyland, Disney Springs and several Disney stores, and set dates for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts, with more announcements coming soon. We are purposefully taking baby steps during this very intentional phased approach. As one of the first major theme parks to close our operations and the last to reopen, we have been deliberate about keeping the health and safety of our cast, guests and local communities top of mind. Breaking: Disneyland Reveals July Re-Opening Date!!

On July 17, 2020, Sixty-five years to the day of the historic opening of Disneyland park, Disney plans to open the theme park gates once again welcoming guests back to the Disneyland Resort. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products today announced proposed plans for a phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort. Pending state and local government approvals, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel plan to reopen on July 23, and Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park will plan to reopen on July 17. Additionally, Downtown Disney District will begin reopening on July 9. Disney has also advised that because theme park capacity will be significantly limited to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, the Disneyland Resort will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests, including Annual Passholders, to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. Theme park reservations will be subject to availability. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon. At this time, there will also be a temporary pause on new ticket sales and Annual Passport sales and renewals. Additional details will be available soon.
