Orange County Mayor Approves Walt Disney World’s Plans For Phased Reopening!

Today, Walt Disney World became the last major central Florida theme park to present and submit its phased reopening plans for approval. Walt Disney World plans to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as select resorts on July 11th! On July 15, EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen. DVC resorts are scheduled to reopen on June 22! All reopening plans are submitted and require endorsement from the Orange County Mayor before they can be submitted to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for final approval. Detailed Renderings Released Of New 12 Story Disney Vacation Club Tower At Disneyland Hotel

Construction at the Disneyland Resort is slowly resuming and new renderings have emerged of the 12 story Disney Vacation Club tower at the Disneyland Hotel. Photo Credit: MagicandWalnut According to twitter user @MagicAndWalnut, At a community webinar on Thursday, Disney released new renderings and a blueprint of the tower. https://twitter.com/MagicAndWalnut/status/1263648080659808258?s=20 According to the blueprint released by Disney, the Disney Vacation Club complex will consist of the “L”-shaped tower, with a separate pool directly behind it. There has been no word as to whether this pool will be exclusively for Vacation Club members or open to other guests of the Disneyland Hotel. Disney revealed in this webinar that the side facing the street would built in a stepped design to better blend in with the neighborhood, with its lowest point being five stories tall. The plans are still under review by the City of Anaheim, but it looks like despite the planned cutbacks to capital expenditures, the tower is still in the works, bringing a new “home” for Disney Vacation Club members at the Disneyland Resort. Disney Extends Use Of Discounted Tickets For Disneyland Resort Guests

Disneyland Resort guests who have purchased tickets through the Southern California Resident Ticket offer received some awesome news today as Disney has officially extended the discounted ticket option so that the tickets can be used through December 16, 2021. Here is the information on the extended offer- If you purchased a promotional Southern California Resident Ticket, the expiration date will be extended through December 16, 2021. Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days. Blockout dates of November 21-28, 2020; December 19, 2020-January 10, 2021; March 26-April 11; July 4; and November 20-27, 2021 apply. Disneyland has also announced that it is extending the validity of the discounted Child Ticket offer and the Canada resident and Australia/New Zealand resident ticket offers through the same expiration date: December 16, 2021. The use of the Military Salute Ticket offer has also been extended through December 18, 2021. The news of Disneyland’s extension of these ticket offers comes just after Disney began emailing both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort upcoming guests encouraging them to postpone their vacations if they were planning to visit through mid-June.
