Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan Offer Discontinued Early For Guests With Cancelled Bookings Due to Cornavirus Closures

In March, we brought you the news that guests could take advantage of a vacation offer that included accommodations at a select Disney Resort hotel, park admission and a Disney dining plan for arrivals on most nights June 1st through September 30, 2020 when you booked by May 31, 2020. This offer was only available to those Guests that had booked a vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16th through May 31st, 2020. However, it now seems that Disney has quietly stopped offering that wonderful package. While this option was supposed to be available until May 31st, nearly three weeks from now, it appears the deal is no longer offered and a visit to the Walt Disney World website confirms all references to such package have been removed. The discontinuation of the offer was confirmed to travel agents on May 8th. Disney is currently directing impacted guests to use the available Sun & Fun Room Offer providing up to 25% off on rooms select resorts which is available to all guests through August 31. Disneyland Resort Is Now Accepting Reservations For July 1

Disneyland Resort has been closed for quite sometime due to the pandemic. Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California is now accepting reservations starting July 1st! At this time they are only cancelling reservations through May 30, 2020 and reservations for travel in June 2020 are still valid. This of course is subject to change and allows Disney the flexibility to cancel in smaller increments if necessary. We are closely following the daily updates from state leaders. Tickets to Shanghai Disneyland Reopening Sell Out In Minutes

Shanghai Disneyland is reopening on Monday, May 11 after the park has been closed for over 100 days! Guests were so excited, in fact, so excited that park tickets to Shanghai Disneyland completely sold out for its reopening date within a matter of minutes! Shanghai Disney Resort website confirmed the sell-out of tickets within minutes of bookings becoming available at 8 a.m. Friday local time according to Time. Shanghai Disney Resorts announced plans prior to reopening that it will implement a list of safety measures, including only allowing one-third of the park’s typical capacity through its gates. Shanghai Disneyland’s normal capacity is over 80,000, however, following social distancing measures, the Chinese Government has requested Disney keep attendance down to 24,000 guests a day. Though, Disney executives have stated they are going to open up far below that with gradually open up to 24,000 a day. Additionally, employees will undergo health and safety training, be encouraged to take part in contactless interactions with visitors and will be provided masks and additional equipment. The park will also be temporarily suspending parades and nighttime spectaculars and close interactions and close-up photos with costumed characters. Although, the park will offer daily Mickey and Friends Express character procession. At the park’s attractions, the company will have to manage capacity in queues and on ride vehicles.…
