Walt Disney World Advisory Page States “Limited Capacity Upon Reopening”

The Walt Disney World Resort and its theme parks has been closed since March 16, 2020 and we may finally be getting some good news! Disney Parks just announced that Disney Springs, located at Walt Disney World, will begin a phased reopening beginning May 20. But this isn’t the only news that just broke today, it looks like Walt Disney World has also updated its advisory page. An update to the Walt Disney World website statement informs Disney guests that upon reopening, Disney resorts, restaurants, attractions and other experiences will be modified and will have limited capacity. On the Walt Disney World website homepage, this is now the notice that pops up: Walt Disney World's Official Travel Advisory Page States: Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing. Additionally, attractions, experiences, services, and amenities may have limited availability or may remain closed. We will provide more information as it becomes available. Disney Springs Phased Reopening Begins In Two Weeks!

Disney just announced that Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening beginning May 20. According to the official statement by Disney, a limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are not owned or operated by Disney will begin to reopen following the guidance of government and health officials. At this time, Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, and every Disney Springs shopping or dining location that is owned by Disney will remain closed for the time being. Disney also continues to emphasize that there is no reopening date set for Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort yet. The phased reopening of Disney Springs coincides with developments at the shopping, dining, and entertainment district on Disney World property. Wine Bar George has reservations starting May 18th and the Grapefruit parking garage is now open to Cast Members. Despite the ongoing closure of Disney Parks and massive company-wide furloughs, Walt Disney World Resort is looking ahead to ensure its parks and resorts are well staffed once they reopen. Disney is currently hiring positions for EPCOT's Morocco Pavilion, the new job listings have been posted for merchandise hosts and hosts at their popular quick-service restaurant, Tangierine Cafe. These listings are posted on the Morocco Pavilion’s own website and cross-posted on Indeed. You won't find these on the Disney Careers website as the pavilion is run by a third party. The Morocco Pavilion is now accepting applications for the following positions: Merchandise Host/Hostess: As a merchandise cast member you will be responsible to operate a point-of-sale system (POS Register), handle cash, and stock inventory.
