Disney Riviera Resort Review

Disney's Riviera Resort is a hotel and Disney Vacation Club Property (DVC) on the newest "Skyline" transportation system route adjacent to the Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World. Disney's Riviera is Disney World's all new free-standing resort that walks the line of adult and family friendly, and is marketed as being inspired by Europe and imagined by Disney, a European and Mediterranean theme that is light on traditional cartoon characters, but rich on gorgeous title mosaics that feature familiar scenes, high end ballrooms and rich, soothing colors. This Deluxe Villa Resort offers approximately 300 vacation homes and units, including studios, one and two-bedroom villas, and grand villas that sleep up to 12 guests each. The last time an all-new resort opened at Walt Disney World, was 2012 and the resort was the cartoon-themed Art of Animation. There have been multiple expansions of existing resorts since that time, including the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs, but the excitement was extra high for the first all-new Disney World property in quite some time, and opening night at the Riviera sold out. Splash Mountain Laughing Place Play Area Closed For Refurbishment At Magic Kingdom

While Splash Mountain at Disney World's Magic Kingdom is getting a refurbishment, it looks like Laughing Place Play area is getting some work done, too. Strolling by the Laughing Place Play area, we saw all the entrances covered and we could smell paint, you can see in the pictures below the entrances covered up. . Soarin Over California Returning To California Adventure For Food & Wine Festival 2020

Soarin' Over California is returning to Disney's California Adventure for a limited time! Starting February 28, guests can see the original Soarin' at Disney's California Adventure during the Food & Wine Festival. Some have read that the show is likely returning to help alleviate crowds due to the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction opening, but actually it's just returning for Disney's California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, which will take place from February 28 through April 21. Guests will be drawn to sip, savor and soar over all that California has to offer. Soarin’ Over California celebrates the diverse Golden State. Like the current Soarin’ Around the World attraction, guests are raised high into the air and surrounded by an immersive, 80-foot projection dome to simulate flight — all while taking in the scents of each scene. While Soarin’ Around the World features international wonders, Soarin’ Over California features destinations like Napa Valley, Yosemite National Park and the Golden Gate Bridge. The California version of the attraction made its most recent return with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland during Summer 2019. During the attraction’s return last summer, there was an Annual Passholder Bonus, where APs enjoyed an extra hour of Soarin’ Over California after park closing every Thursday night.
