Frightfully fun changes at the Disneyland Resort have begun, the entire Disneyland Resort has become fully decorated for Halloween including special park decorations and attraction overlays with Disneyland Halloween themes. Disneyland's Halloween Season has begun, it runs from September 6th through October 31st and our partners at Get Away Today, have announced a special Lucky 13 sale for Friday the 13th. Here is what is happening at the Disneyland Resort- On select nights, all Disneyland guests can enjoy the Halloween Screams fireworks show! In years past, Disneyland's "Halloween Screams" fireworks show has only available during the special ticketed Mickey's Halloween Party, but this year it's open to all guests! Standing at 12 feet tall and 14 feet wide, Guests are greeted by a huge Mickey shaped Jack O'Lantern at the heart of Main Street USA Pumpkin festival at Disneyland Park. As you stroll down Main Street, you will find hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins, (which are lit at night). Last month at Disney's 2019 D23 Expo, it was revealed that Epcot's new Marvel-themed coaster would be called "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, now Disney has released a first look at the ride vehicles. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot will feature the first-ever backwards launch for a Disney roller coaster! This thrilling, family-friendly attraction will feature a never-before-seen storytelling coaster that rotates 360 degrees to focus on the action – wherever it may be. According to Bob Chapek, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will require a ride system and ride vehicles unlike anything guests have experienced before. What guests will encounter can best be described as a one-of-a-kind storytelling coaster that connects the adventure of a storyline with the thrills of a coaster. “On most coasters, the vehicles point straight ahead throughout the ride,” Bob explained. “But on this attraction, each individual cab will be programmed to direct your eye to the story happening around you. Nashville School Bans Harry Potter Books In Fear of Student's "Conjuring Evil Spirits" A Nashville, Tennessee Catholic School bans everyone's favorite spellbinding "Harry Potter" book series after a reverend from the school claimed the books could be used to conjure "evil spirits" “These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception,” said Rev. Reehil (a pastor at Saint Edwards Catholic School parish) in an email he had sent to the parents of students from the religious school about the spellbinding “Harry Potter” book series. “The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text,” the email continues. The pastor made the decision after receiving an inquiry from a parent, Hammel claimed. While the Catholic Church does not have an official position on the magical book and movie series, "each pastor has canonical authority to make such decisions for his parish school," Hammel said.
