Disney Cast Members Reportedly Reprimanded Or Terminated For Viral Photo of Overcrowding at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

With the reopening of Walt Disney World on July 11th and recently a preview for Cast Members in the midst of an increase in COVID-19 case across Florida, all eyes have been on the coverage of theme parks that have opened and are opening. Media outlets are covering everything to do with aspect of what is going on in these unprecedented times. Recently Cast Members were allowed to reserve a date for Cast Members previews earlier this week. A handful of Cast Members during the Cast Member previews were caught overcrowding the entrance to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in a now viral reposted photo: https://twitter.com/DisneyFoodBlog/status/1280583868924428289?s=20 We’ve been informed by some Cast Members that the employees in this photo have since been identified and either reprimanded or terminated by management. Cast Members are expected to “lead by example”, and many guests have expressed having fears about the reopenings of the Disney Parks. However, we had staff in the park that very day that this supposed viral photo was taken, and saw no such crowding anywhere in the park throughout the duration of the preview. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Modified Virtual Queue At Disney’s Hollywood Studios Starting July 15

Walt Disney World has just rolled out instructions on a new, modified virtual queue system for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The biggest change here is the use of staggered booking windows, starting at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 4 p.m., meaning you no longer have to be there at the park open to secure a Boarding Group. Recent changes went into place on My Disney Experience app yesterday, where it seems they are testing a new landing page for virtual queues on the app. For all guests with upcoming Disney Park Pass Reservations Reservations to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios, we wanted to share an update about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which will once again be using virtual queue in the My Disney Experience app. If you’ve joined the Resistance before, you will want to note a few changes to the process beginning July 15. Most importantly – as availability allows – guests will have an opportunity at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. to request to join the virtual queue. Breaking: Splash Mountain To Be Rethemed To “Princess And The Frog”

Disney Parks has just announced Splash Mountain will be rethemed to "Princess And The Frog" in the wake of numerous petitions to change Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., will soon be completely reimagined, inspired by the animated Disney film “The Princess and the Frog.” Guests will join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure as they prepare for their first Mardi Gras performance, featuring some of the powerful music from the film. (Disney) According to the OC Register, the popular log flume ride, previously themed to the controversial “Song of the South” film, will be transformed to feature characters and a storyline based off the 2009 animated film, “Princess and the Frog”. No date or official name has been announced for the attraction makeovers, but the working title for the project is “New Adventures with Princess Tiana”. Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World intend on reopening with the current iterations of the ride, to be closed at a later date for the retheming.
