Disneyland gets permit to launch Marvel land after opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge As Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens and many fans from all over the world come to experience the all-new intergalactic land, the Disneyland Resort is already getting ready for their next expansion over at California Adventure Park. Photo Credit: Disney The new Marvel-themed land is slated to open next year and Disneyland Resort has already had a handful of permits for its construction approved by the city of Anaheim. Some of these projects include an overhaul to the bathroom, a new retail outlet, a microbrewery, a character meet-and-greet area, plus improvements to behind-the-scenes buildings. According to the Los Angeles Times, the construction permits assess the value of all of this action-packed work at more than $14 million. Reportedly, one of the permits, approved Wednesday, allows for a 2,071-square-foot merchandise outlet, with three attached canopies! However, it’s expected that more details of the land will be released at D23, scheduled for August 23 to 25 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Boy With Down Syndrom Shares Sweet Moment With Donald Duck at Walt Disney World Walt Disney World is known as the "Most Magical Place On Earth" for everyone who visits it. A little boy with Down Syndrome recently shared a sweet moment on his family's Disney trip with Donald Duck, and the video is enough to not only bring a smile to anyone's face, but for some like me, tears as well. AAsher Liles, who has Down Syndrome and non-verbal apraxia, got to meet his favorite Disney character, Donald Duck, at Disney's Hollywood Studios. His family shared the sweet video on his YouTube page. Donald spun in circles and fell to his knees when he saw AAsher, who was in a head-to-toe Donald Duck costume. He started to give him a great big hug and lead him toward the photopass area, where the two quickly became friends and shared non-verbal communication with each other. Then both even turn around and shook their tail feathers for the camera. Donald Duck recently celebrated his 85th anniversary on June 9th.
