Castle Transformation Underway At Hong Kong Disneyland With New Tower Additions

The iconic inspirational Hong Kong Disneyland castle transformation is underway and it’s about to enter the most important state yet. Starting August 1st, the thematic towers and spires representing 13 stories of beloved Disney Princesses and heroines will be lifted onto the castle base.

Each of these thematic architectural elements are inspired by the stories of much-loved Disney Princesses such as Tiana, Aurora, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, Snow White, Moana, Cinderella, Merida, Pocahontas, Belle, Rapunzel – along with Anna and Elsa from Disney’s “Frozen” – will all have their moment to shine in sequence throughout this summer. With special attention to the iconic patterns, textures, colors and ornamentation on the iconic Hong Kong Disneyland Castle, guests will be able to recognize the individual elements inspired by their favorite Disney heroines, celebrating a sense of diversity, inclusion and unity.

Specially designed decorations on the castle spires include Snow White’s apple, Cinderella’s coach and Belle’s rose. Unique artwork and sculptures will add to the variety in design that the castle will prominently feature.

Inside the castle, guests will be able to receive princess transformations of their own at the new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and they’ll even get to meet and interact with their favorite Disney princesses. During the day, a new show will take place in front of the castle, and at night an all-new nighttime spectacular will be presented with the castle as the backdrop.

This is all part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s previously announced massive transformation that started beginning in 2018 and will continue through 2023. New additions to the park include the transformed castle and hub area, new attractions themed to Marvel properties, and a Frozen themed land.
