Walt Disney World Free Dining Plan Offer Discontinued Early For Guests With Cancelled Bookings Due to Cornavirus Closures

In March, we brought you the news that guests could take advantage of a vacation offer that included accommodations at a select Disney Resort hotel, park admission and a Disney dining plan for arrivals on most nights June 1st through September 30, 2020 when you booked by May 31, 2020. This offer was only available to those Guests that had booked a vacation package or room reservation to stay at a Disney Resort hotel from March 16th through May 31st, 2020. However, it now seems that Disney has quietly stopped offering that wonderful package. While this option was supposed to be available until May 31st, nearly three weeks from now, it appears the deal is no longer offered and a visit to the Walt Disney World website confirms all references to such package have been removed. The discontinuation of the offer was confirmed to travel agents on May 8th. Disney is currently directing impacted guests to use the available Sun & Fun Room Offer providing up to 25% off on rooms select resorts which is available to all guests through August 31. Walt Disney World Advisory Page States “Limited Capacity Upon Reopening”

The Walt Disney World Resort and its theme parks has been closed since March 16, 2020 and we may finally be getting some good news! Disney Parks just announced that Disney Springs, located at Walt Disney World, will begin a phased reopening beginning May 20. But this isn’t the only news that just broke today, it looks like Walt Disney World has also updated its advisory page. An update to the Walt Disney World website statement informs Disney guests that upon reopening, Disney resorts, restaurants, attractions and other experiences will be modified and will have limited capacity. On the Walt Disney World website homepage, this is now the notice that pops up: Walt Disney World's Official Travel Advisory Page States: Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing. Additionally, attractions, experiences, services, and amenities may have limited availability or may remain closed. We will provide more information as it becomes available. Disney Springs Phased Reopening Begins In Two Weeks!

Disney just announced that Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening beginning May 20. According to the official statement by Disney, a limited number of shopping and dining experiences that are not owned or operated by Disney will begin to reopen following the guidance of government and health officials. At this time, Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, and every Disney Springs shopping or dining location that is owned by Disney will remain closed for the time being. Disney also continues to emphasize that there is no reopening date set for Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort yet. The phased reopening of Disney Springs coincides with developments at the shopping, dining, and entertainment district on Disney World property. Wine Bar George has reservations starting May 18th and the Grapefruit parking garage is now open to Cast Members.
