As Part Of Epcot’s Park Transformation, Disney Might Have Confirmed EPCOT Name Change

During the 2019 D23 Expo, the new logo for Epcot was revealed. If you noticed, all the characters transitioned to all-caps. When Epcot first originally opened on October 1, 1985 it was originally known as EPCOT Center. The name stood for the acronym Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, inspired by Walt’s vision for a utopian city of the future. Other park name changes took place in the mid-’90s when the park became Epcot ’94, followed by Epcot ’95, and then just Epcot. After the new EPCOT logo was revealed during last year’s D23 Expo, it has been featured in all of the park’s new merchandise and across the construction walls that have taken over the park’s landscape as part of its ongoing transformation. If you look at a picture the new logo and park name were featured in the guidemap, transitioning from Epcot to all upper-case EPCOT. Disney Movie Magic Returning Next Month To Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney's Hollywood Studios nighttime entertainment is about to change, as "Disney Movie Magic" will be returning next month. "Disney Movie Magic" will be taking the place of "Wonderful World of animation" which hasn't been running for very long. Beginning on March 13, 2020, “Disney Movie Magic” will return and take place on select nights at Hollywood Studios. As always, check the official schedule on Disney’s website or your My Disney Experience app for showtimes. It will be replacing “Wonderful World of Animation” which opened less than a year ago and is set to have its final showing on March 12, 2020. "Disney Movie Magic" projection show debuted back in 2017, and while it does not feature fireworks, the show includes Walt Disney and a jaunt through the history of live action films from his studio. “Disney Movie Magic” will transform the iconic Chinese Theatre at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with special lighting and state-of-the-art projection mapping technology that will put Guests right in the middle of a celebration of Disney films.
