Breaking: Splash Mountain To Be Rethemed To “Princess And The Frog”

Disney Parks has just announced Splash Mountain will be rethemed to "Princess And The Frog" in the wake of numerous petitions to change Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., will soon be completely reimagined, inspired by the animated Disney film “The Princess and the Frog.” Guests will join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure as they prepare for their first Mardi Gras performance, featuring some of the powerful music from the film. (Disney) According to the OC Register, the popular log flume ride, previously themed to the controversial “Song of the South” film, will be transformed to feature characters and a storyline based off the 2009 animated film, “Princess and the Frog”. No date or official name has been announced for the attraction makeovers, but the working title for the project is “New Adventures with Princess Tiana”. Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World intend on reopening with the current iterations of the ride, to be closed at a later date for the retheming. Breaking: Walt Disney World Park Reservation System Crashed

The Walt Disney World Park Reservation System was finally open, but now that guests rush onto the Walt Disney World Website, it appears that the system has crashed mere minutes after opening. Guests reported almost immediately receiving an extended loading the message like the one below: https://twitter.com/ScottGustin/status/1274915159086170112?s=20 After waiting for several minutes Guests are reporting being hit with a 504 error screen. They have since been returned to the waiting page. But a few Guests are reporting making it past the Castle Waiting page. But no park reservation options were provided. One Guest even reported getting kicked out afterwards. https://twitter.com/dvcduo/status/1275025249621422080?s=20 It is also being reported that the reservation option is only appearing on the desktop version of the My Disney Experience website and not on the app. Walt Disney World Resort began opening its park reservation system at 7 am EDT on Monday, June 22, 2020 to “Disney Resort and other select hotel Guests with valid theme park admission can make reservations. Beginning June 26, 2020, Annual Passholders without a Resort stay can make reservations. Beginning June 28, 2020, existing ticket holders can make reservations.” This is a developing story. First Look at New Disneyland And Walt Disney World Theme Park Reservation System

Disney is rolling out a new theme park reservation system for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Disney has yet to release additional information on the new system, or how the system will exactly work, but a new thread on the WDWMagic forums reveals what the online reservation system will most likely look like at both resorts. The screenshots were posted by well-known member flutas on WDWMagic’s Disneyland Resort forum, later boosted by Scott Gustin on Twitter. You’ll notice at the top that there’s a distinction between Single Ticket Reservations and Resort Guest Reservations, signaling at potential priority for resort guests, or at least that they’ll be coded differently under the system. The rest of the sections, such as the “Know Before You Go” on checking in, are filled in with placeholder text. Reservations must be made for each park on each day, potentially signaling the end of park-hopping, at least for now. Reservations are date and time specific, with a confirmation number assigned to each, and the ability to email the confirmation as well as cancel the reservation on the page. Do note the small print at the bottom stating that if Passholders no-show for 3 reservations in a 90-day period, they will be unable to make new reservations for the next 30 days.
