Disney Releases TRON Construction Update at Magic Kingdom Including Video

For those of you keeping up to date with all the attractions coming to Walt Disney World, then you will be excited to here Disney has released updates on the all-new TRON coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom including video.

The roller coaster is based on the TRON Lightcycle Power Run which is in Shanghai Disneyland, an ever since it opened at Shanghai Disneyland a few years back, it has been the most sought-after attraction for Disney fans overseas!

After Disney announced that a similar attraction would be coming to Magic Kingdom, many of you could hardly wait to know more. As Disney has explained, “the coaster-style attraction will allow riders to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a thrilling race through the digital frontier.”

Tron attraction was announced for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World during the D23 Expo in 2017.

If you’ve been to Magic Kingdom lately, you may have noticed the work being done over in the back of Tomorrowland near Space Mountain. Now, the first steel support columns have been installed and they will serve as the framework of the roller coaster being built. The new ride is being built in a new area next Space Mountain, not replacing any existing rides.

The TRON attraction will be coming to Magic Kingdom in time for the park’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
