Guests Headed To Magic Kingdom Tuesday Morning Aboard Disney World’s Monorail Stuck In Summer Heat

Guests headed to the Magic Kingdom Tuesday morning, aboard a Walt Disney World monorail were stuck in the summer heat for over a half hour.

With summer in full swing in Florida, the last place anyone wants to be is to be stuck in a hot Monorail with no air-conditioning Unfortunately, some Disney World guests aboard a Monorail headed to the Magic Kingdom had to experience it today. Spectrum News 13 reported, that one of Walt Disney World’s Monorails had experienced some technical difficulties and had stalled Tuesday morning. The technical difficulties had caused the Monorails air conditioning to stall as well, leaving guests unhappy and sweating in the summer heat.

One guest posted on Twitter that she and others were “trapped” on a hot monorail for 30 minutes and had to open the emergency windows.

Only one monorail was stuck on the line, said a Disney spokesperson. Magic Kingdom’s monorail service was closed while Disney’s transportation team worked to fix the issue.

Disney did not say what caused the issue or how long the monorails were down.

A day earlier, a power glitch caused by bad weather caused temporary closures of some rides at Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
