Marvel Confirms Loki Escaped Thanos In ‘Avengers: Endgame’ In New Disney+ Series

During the San Diego Comic Con, Marvel fans were treated some epic news over the weekend, including the revealing of the first LGBT+ super hero, who would be the new female Thor and most interesting of all the big announcements was that Loki, God of Mischief, apparently didn’t die at the hands of Thanos in “Avengers: Engame, he merely escaped.

Marvel has revealed that we will be seeing ‘Loki’ on the new upcoming Disney+ show and it isn’t the same Loki who was killed by Thanos. This Loki actually escaped from New York City with the Space Stone, as we saw in “Avenger’s End-game.’

If you can recall that during Avengers: Endgame, one of the time periods the starring heroes traveled back to was the aftermath of the Battle of New York, and unfortunately, the Loki of that time period escaped custody and stole the Tesseract, a.k.a. the Space Stone. The Loki series will pick up with that Loki and show what happened to him following Endgame.

Kevin Feige and Hiddleston, on stage at Marvel’s Hall H Comic-Con panel, explained that the Loki in the series isn’t necessarily the same Loki we’ve seen grow and change in Thor: Ragnarok.

“You guys saw Avengers, right? He’s still that guy. The last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk smashed,” Hiddelston said on stage.

While it’s news to Marvel fans on Loki actually escaping from New York City with the Space Stone, during a May interview, the Russo brothers revealed that “Endgame” deals with branched realities.

Loki is not the only show that was announced at San Diego Comic Con for the new Disney+ coming soon, we have a lot more shows to look forward to including:  Loki (starring Tom Hiddleston), WandaVision (Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany), Falcon & Winter Soldier (Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan), a limited series Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) series focusing on new MCU character Kate Bishop, and the animatedWhat If? series.
