New- Rafiki Cupcake At Restaurantosaurus In Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s has sure put out a lot of Lion King merchandise and treats this entire summer with the release of the new Lion King movie, and new additions continue to keep popping up in the Disney Parks! Staff recently stumbled across these Rafiki cupcakes at Restaurantosaurus in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

For a limited-time, these new Rafiki cupcake’s featuring banana mousse, coconut, and buttercream, and topped with an edible image of Rafiki from “The Lion King” will be available for $5.99 at Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus (both located inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park) through September 7.

This new Rafiki cupcake consists of yellow cake mix, with a banana flavored like mousse in the center topped with a buttercream frosting with coconut shavings around the edge and a fondant image of Rafiki accented by green buttercream leaves.

Disney has been known to have “dry” cupcakes, but our staff reported that these Rafiki cupcakes are moist and very flavorful. Though, the center could have had more of the banana mousse, the mousse itself complemented well with the cake.
