Princess Diaries 3 In Production, Anne Hathaway Confirms

Shut up! It’s the news that so many Princess Diaries fans been long waiting for, Anne Hathaway has finally revealed that there is a Princess Diaries 3 film in the works, and we may not have to wait much longer before we see Princess Mia Thermopolis and Queen Clarisse reunited in the beloved film series.

Hathaway first took on the role as Princess Amelia Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi in 2001, with Julie Andrews as her grandmother, the queen. Followed by the sequel, released in 2004 called ” Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” about both Princess Mia and the queen’s journey to finding love in Genovia.

On Thursday Night, January 24 on Bravo’s Watch What Happens live with Andy Cohen, a fan called into the show and had a question for Hathaway.

“Have you heard of anything about ‘Princess Diaries 3,’ since the author of the book said there’s a script for the third movie?” the caller asked.

Much to everyone’s surprise, she revealed some awesome news

“There is a script for the third movie. There is a script. I want to do it. Julie [Andrews] wants to do it. Debra Martin Chase, our producer, wants to do it. We all really want it to happen.”

As of now, that is all that’s known about a possible third film in The Princess Diaries franchise, but hopefully, more will come soon.
