Build your own customized lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy Edge

One of the fun things that will arrive with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is an updated build-your-own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop in Batuu. Photo Credit: Disney For those of you wondering how this new build your own lightsaber is different from the old version. Disney has explained that it is going to be incredibly updated. Savi’s will create an interactive buying experience which is similar to that in Pandora (banshees) and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (wands). Photo Credit: Disney On Wednesday morning, the Disney Parks Blog revealed details regarding the an all-new lightsaber creation coming to Galaxy’s Edge. The Gatherers have amassed a great collection of stories, kyber crystals, and other saber parts from around the galaxy. As “keepers of the Force,” they have passed down their knowledge from generation to generation, striving to keep the flame of hope alive. Savi was one of the original Gatherers and a friend to Lor San Tekka (whom we met briefly at the beginning of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”). Like Lor, Savi was a believer in the ideals of the Jedi Order and helped to pass on his knowledge of Jedi lore.
